Saturday Rave: Little Miss Bossy by Roger Hargreaves.

Little Miss Bossy is blue, has a hat with a flower in it, and her story involves new footwear.

How cool is that?

Her story also has a wizard called Wilfred in it. Wilfred, as I'm sure you know, is the name that all wizards would choose for themselves if they weren't enormously big-headed.

Unfortunately, most wizards are enormously big-headed. This is why they generally have such odd names.

Little Miss Bossy is - yes, you've guessed it - very bossy indeed. She makes all the people around her very unhappy.

But even Little Miss Bossy isn't the bossiest person around.

No. It's hard to believe, but she's really not.

Luckily in the end everything is sorted out with the use of two magic words.

One of them is one you already know.

Little Miss Bossy gets everywhere. Here she is in China.

Word To Use Today: bossy. This word comes from the Dutch baas, master, and is related, rather charmingly, to the Old High German basa, which means aunt.
