Epigone: Word To Use Today.

Okay, no one in their right mind would actually use the word epigone (you say it EPigohn) unless they were slightly drunk at an Oxford University High Table, but it's a Very Useful Word for Thinking Purposes.

An epigone is an inferior follower or imitator.

It's an idea that makes so much of human behaviour a lot clearer, isn't it.

Word To Use Today: epigone. This word was coined in the 1800s and is based on the Greek word epigonos, one born after, from gignesthai, to be born.
